WE'RE CARRYING RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ACTING GREEN
MINI-FOREST VOLUNTEERS
Canada Keli joined a community environmental event organized by the Calgary Climate Hub at the Genesis Centre. Employees and their families volunteered as weed removers to help maintain a local mini-forest.The project uses the Miyawaki Forest Method, planting diverse native species to quickly grow healthy small forests. It improves the city’s environment and gives residents a chance to connect with nature.
By working alongside community members, Canada Keli volunteers supported the growth of the mini-forest and strengthened their sense of teamwork and belonging. The company will continue to take part in local environmental projects and contribute to a greener Calgary.
VOLUNTEER WITH FOODBANK
Three dedicated Canada Keli employees, accompanied by two of their teenage family members, devoted an afternoon to volunteering at the Calgary Food Bank — a heartfelt gesture to give back to the community that sustains them while deepening the unity of their group. For two and a half hours, they worked with purpose and precision, carefully bagging potatoes destined for households facing food insecurity. Even though the Food Bank could not accommodate all the work they were eager to take on, the team embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm and is already looking forward to contributing again in the future.
What began as a simple task became an act of compassion and solidarity, leaving a meaningful mark on the community and strengthening the bonds among the volunteers themselves.
